Project Purpose

The Lift Water Supply Scheme (LWSS) for 13 Panchayats of Tehsil Pachhad, generously funded by the New Development Bank (NDB) is designed to efficiently collect raw water from Giri River, treat it at a dedicated Water Treatment Plant (WTP), and distribute clean drinking water directly to households. This initiative significantly enhances water accessibility, ensuring safe drinking water reaches thousands of residents across the panchayats if the Tehsil Pacchad in Himachal Pradesh. The project’s purpose to provide clean and safe drinking water has a direct impact on more than 23000 lives of the people living in the area.

Project Deliverables

  • Intake Well: Critical raw water sourcing structure constructed at , including comprehensive electromechanical installations for efficient water extraction.
  • Rising Main (RM): Ensures effective transportation of water using pumping through carefully selected GI pipelines.
  • Gravity Main (GM): Efficiently transports treated water using gravity through high-pressure capable GI pipelines, addressing current and future water demands.
  • Water Treatment Plant (WTP): Utilizes advanced Rapid Sand Filtration technology for treatment, including components such as Aerator, Clariflocculator, Filter House, Chlorination Facility, Chemical House, and a Clear Water Reservoir to guarantee the safety of potable water.
  • Elevated Service Reservoirs (ESRs): Elevated Reservoirs are positioned strategically at the highest points in order to operate via gravity to maintain adequate pressure and distribution throughout the network.
  • Distribution Network: Extensive HDPE pipeline network precisely designed to manage optimal water flow and pressure for household connections.
  • SUMP: The strategically located underground storage reservoirs are used for intermediate storage of treated water, facilitating continuous and uniform water supply across the distribution network.
  • House Service Connections (HSC): Robust household connection infrastructure providing reliable, tap-controlled water access.
  • Electro Mechanical Works: The project requires us to install pumping machinery designed with high efficiency and reliability to manage varying water demands across extensive geographical and elevation ranges by helping in the movement of the fluid from one point to another.
